Leading the UX design and strategy for Group W, a company specializing in analysis, modeling, and research, presented a unique challenge. Group W required a website that not only showcased their expertise in navigating complex problems but also mirrored the organic and adaptive nature of their problem-solving approach.
The central concept was to create an interactive journey highlighting their six key focus areas. This journey was designed to be dynamic, with the website transforming as users clicked into each area, reflecting Group W’s fluidity in handling diverse industry landscapes.
One of the intriguing features of the site was the incorporation of ‘Easter eggs’ – quotes from artists and philosophers that influenced Group W’s business ethos. These hidden gems added depth to the user experience, subtly conveying the company’s intellectual and creative underpinnings.
The design process saw multiple iterations, with each one refining the site’s ability to communicate Group W’s unique approach and services effectively. My role extended beyond UX and UI design; I led the pitch process and was responsible for developing both the front-end and back-end of the website using Drupal.
The final design achieved a balance between functionality and creative expression. It provided an engaging platform for Group W to demonstrate their capabilities and problem-solving philosophy, resonating with their target audience of decision-makers in various sectors.
